DAMA BRAVA is a street dance & theater company integrated by 9 women. Their body of work deals with female resistance and the urge of constructing a more equalitarian society. They bring their creations and pedagogical laboratories to communities that live in the peripheral neighborhoods of Santiago, Valparaiso, etc. and that don't have economical resources to go to the theater. Dama Brava often performs in the streets and communitarian football yards. LAVA'O A MANO was created in 2008 and premiered in 2009 and 2011. This piece examines the social complexities behind femicide.
