THE POWER PLANT
​​​The Power Plant speculates of a trans-material Village that converts sexual energy into electricity, to imagine a community where ecstatic currents cut through materials and embrace multiplicity.
This research desires to shake control mechanisms that confine us in a normative way of relating to every-thing. By letting something else grow between the encounter of bodies and the invention and sowing of different zones of practices, installations and objects, that strip apart the thought of materiality. With the intention of going beyond binary thinking and the boundaries of species and resources, opening a spectrum of possibilities that can help understand ourselves and at the same time the world differently. In order to spell out imaginaries that can shape new perspectives about our role in the universe.
In collaboration with many, we have created a series of performative, material, political and design experiments, in the shape of events, workshops, talks, residencies and devices (using mostly analogue and recycled eco-friendly materials), that allow us to envision ‘The Power Plant’ research.​​​

​​2023 THE POWER PLANT PROJECT EARTHLY BODIES ELECTRO-CURRENTS WORKSHOP Cipke Kersnikova Institute, Ljubljana (SI) ​ How to give access to free energy so that the human and the more than human can shapeshift and charge? During this workshop, The Power Plant opens quantum files to play with a series of conductivity experiments that can render atomic and molecular entanglements between bodies visible. By experimenting with magnetic and vibratory devices, and learning how to construct an analogue circuit that uses metals, water, salt, mud to generate free voltage that can power things, we look into what is electricity and what it does to matter. On the other hand, by constructing an earthing mat we discharged the body from cyber and main electromagnetic power grid noise and EMF exposure. On this mat we practice basics of Kung Fu body alchemy, looking into an ancient perspective that enhances the bio-electrical storage potentials of the body by transmuting sexual energy and collaborating with the neuro, endocrine and microbiota systems.
