THE SPINE

GUIDED TOURS
By The Spine Team in co-production with Viernulvier Gent & nadine Brussels

18th of July, 1st & 2nd of August 2026

From 10:00 to 18:30

Zarlardingas Farm Geraardsbergen

Step into THE SPINE, a transdisciplinary artistic research project where visual and live art, land restoration, and pedagogical practice meet. Through this work, we explore how to embody a collective earthly existence, promoting territorial justice.

Formed through community bonds, THE SPINE installation begins its cross-continental journey at the rewilding forest of Zarlardingas Farm, creating a space in this unique setting that invites us to connect more deeply with the earth.

During the guided tours, THE SPINE TEAM welcomes visitors to walk through the installation and playfully explore sensory vessels that are crafted into the textures beneath the very ground. Here, in the company of water, fire, trees, wool, herbs, animals, rocks, the wind and fellow visitors, you are invited to become regenerative fibers woven into the body of the Earth, slowing down and merging your own memories with memories of the land.

Join us in experiencing the landscape in new ways and reflect collectively on how we can reclaim the knowledge that allows us to feel the earth as an affective being.
